Paris

We spent a couple of days walking around Paris with these boysies. They did really great considering that sight seeing in Paris involves a lot of walking to go see a building or structure that in and of itself isn't exactly up a 5 and 7 year olds alley. We stopped at playgrounds when we saw them, got plenty of Fanta, and tried to not fit in too much. They were excited to see the Eiffel Tower, after all, Ratatouille could see the Eiffel Tower from his apartment! Luke was quite bummed to not be able to eat at the restaurant where Ratatouille works though.

Thanks to Grammie and Pop, we were able to leave our sweet, lovable but not the greatest travel buddy, Jonah, in Belgium while we took Taft and Luke to Paris for 2 days. They were excited to travel by train. 

First stop after dropping our things at our hotel was a crepe for lunch. Taft had been looking forward to this and his cheese and ham crepe did not disappoint. 

I went for the egg and ham, no cheese. It was super, super good.

Notre Dame. We all wanted to go up to the top, but after seeing how long the wait was we left it up to the boys. So, we didn't go up. They can do it the next time they go.

Eiffel Tower. There was a small playground here that the boys enjoyed. Seth played hide and go seek with them while I basked in the warmth that hadn't really been felt since we had arrived in Europe! 

A friend of Taft's didn't believe Taft when he said he was going to Paris. We decided we should get some proof (and some Kinder Eggs for that friend)

In the evening we strolled along the Champs Elysee and just moments after this picture, Taft had the best moment of his life. 

The second day we did lots more walking and heading up to Sacre Coeur. Taft insisted on climbing all those steps in the hardest way possible. 

I think this was the first day, but Luke and I rode the ferris wheel at the Place de la Concorde. It was a hazy day but he was still impressed with what he saw.
